Over the past few years, we’ve been extremely fortunate to have had the chance to help several people (and incredibly inspiring businesses) generate money online – all while positively impacting the lives of MILLIONS of people.
And I can tell you that there are really 6 mindset secrets or “mental attitudes” that they’ve taken on that have allowed them to generate that type of income and success so quickly.
And since you are reading this post now, it means that you already realize the first of the 6 secrets!

1. If you want to achieve success, find and model those who have already succeeded.
When it comes to making your dreams your reality, you don’t need to spend your time and energy reinventing the wheel.
The fastest way to reach your goals is to follow in the footsteps of someone who has already achieved whatever it is that you desire.
You see, for someone to be successful at something… whether it’s making money online, having a great relationship, or having an awesome physique and lots of energy… chances are it has nothing to do with luck…
It’s because what they choose to think and do has gotten them to where they are. Whether they consciously realize it or not, they have a set of strategies that have worked for them! And so…
If you take on these same thought patterns and actions, it’s extremely likely that you’ll reach the same destination too.
If you want to learn how to drive a car, you get someone who already knows how to teach you, right?! It’s faster and easier than trying to figure it out on your own.
Well, creating success online is exactly the same. Giving up the idea that you have to start from scratch in favour of modelling the attitudes, beliefs, and actions of others is an extremely powerful distinction – it’s really the foundation to becoming a Successful Entrepreneur… and FAST!
So what other thought patterns or mental habits should you take on and model in order to create the time and money freedom you desire?
2. Focus on what you WANT to create, instead of what’s lacking in your life.
The second secret of Successful Entrepreneurs is to focus on what you WANT to create, instead of what’s lacking in your life.
What we choose to focus on we’ll get more of, and this isn’t just New-Age-y “woo woo” talk… this is actually scientific fact!
Let me explain:
Your subconscious mind is an incredibly powerful piece of machinery!
One of its many jobs is to constantly scan your environment just like a sonar system… and it collects millions of bits of data per second on what’s going on around you – people, conversations, sights, sounds and so on.
Then, there’s a little bundle of nerves near your brain stem (called your Reticular Activating System).
This instantly filters through all of that data and sends just a tiny, tiny portion of that information – what it thinks is of most importance to you – into your conscious mind, where you actually become aware of it…
Otherwise, your conscious mind would be completely overloaded with information!
So how does your Reticular Activating System decide what information it thinks is of most importance to you?
- You program it with your focus!
you spend a lot of time dwelling on the scarcity of money or other things in your life,
You’re telling your Reticular Activating System that scarcity is of prime importance to you, and you’ll notice more and more occurrences of it around you.

But if you focus instead on the possibilities you’d like to create, you will reprogram your Reticular Activating System to begin filtering more and more opportunities that are aligned with these possibilities into your conscious awareness, where you can then take action on them!
Whatever you tend to focus on, you will experience more of.
So always remember to focus on what you’d like to create and not what’s lacking or missing in the present moment.
3. Create an inspiring BHAG
So, WHAT is a BHAG?
And WHY is it so IMPORTANT?
One of the best ways to stay focused on your amazing future is to create an inspiring BHAG, which is the third secret of Successful Entrepreneurs.
Now what is a BHAG and why is it so important?
Well, BHAG stands for “Big Hairy Audacious Goal”, and it’s basically a 1 to 2 sentence intention statement that details what it is that you want to create for yourself.
One of the main reasons that most people don’t get what they want in life is because they’re not totally clear on what they want, and so they create confusing results.
Successful Entrepreneurs, on the other hand, create a crystal-clear picture of what the success they’d like to create looks like.
Just like entering an address on a GPS, they create a clear BHAG that describes the future they want to create, and then they use it to guide their actions to make sure they reach their destination.
So, if you want to make income online, for example, create a BHAG that describes how, why, what and when:
- HOW much money would you like to generate each month?
- WHY do you want to make this money?
- WHAT will you use this extra money for?
- And by WHEN do you want to hit this goal?
If you’d like to be making $5,000 per month online by the time your next birthday rolls around, and you want to work just 3 days a week
So that you can spend more time with your family or be volunteering for causes you support, make that your BHAG.
Or if you’d like to go to another level, set that goal.
Remember that your power to create lies in your clarity.
So keep your BHAG short, but make it as specific as possible.
4. You don’t have to be an expert or guru to do well online, you just have to CARE about what it is that you’re sharing.
The fourth secret that Successful Entrepreneurs know is that you don’t have to be an expert or guru to do well online, you just have to care about what it is that you’re sharing.
A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that they need to first be some kind of bestselling author or established guru before they can make money online…
And so, feeling intimidated by the thought that they may not have any worthwhile expertise to offer, they stop in their tracks before they even get started.
But this couldn’t be further from the truth!
There are TONS of people who are making a significant income online simply by sharing their passion for their hobbies or interests, or by sharing their personal journeys around learning something new or hitting specific goals.
The fact is that you don’t have to be a guru to do very well online – you just have to CARE about what it is that you’re doing!

Because when people will see and feel your passion, they’ll want to learn more about what you have to say and what you have to offer.
So the good news is that you can start right now from exactly where you are! There’s no need to wait any longer.
5. Don’t let “I don’t know how” stop you from learning how.
The fifth secret that Successful Entrepreneurs know is that they don’t let “I don’t know how” stop them from learning how.
There’s a quote that I love that you may have heard that goes like this:
“People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer suffering that is familiar.”
In my experience, what usually stops people from pursuing their goals and dreams around making money online or any other life goal is that stepping out and trying something new feels unfamiliar and scary…
And so – even though they may not be totally happy where they currently are in life – they subconsciously do what they can to stay there because they find comfort in the predictability.
Fear of not having all of the answers or fear of asking for help are two things that stop a lot of people from making money online…
But Successful Entrepreneurs, on the other hand, are willing to learn what they don’t know to get to where they want to be.
So, don’t let “not knowing how” stop you from learning how.
You’ve been blessed with a beautiful mind that’s capable of a great many things. So keep it open and be willing to learn what you need to learn because you absolutely can!
6. Always aim to give more than you expect to receive.
The sixth secret to becoming a Successful Entrepreneur is to always aim to give more than you expect to receive.
Ultimately, what shapes the meaning of our lives is not what we get, but what we give.

Successful Entrepreneurs want to do work that’s aligned with their interests and passions, feels meaningful and provides value to others – and this is what really sets them apart from others who are trying to just make a quick buck online.
